Our Rescue Stations                                                                                                                     Home

There are fourteen Ambulance Rescue stations across NSW. They are located at Parramatta, Caringbah, Cowra, Camden, Bankstown, Bomaderry, Singleton, St Ives, Hamilton, Rutherford, Tamworth, Point Clare, Wagga Wagga and Wollongong.

Eight of these stations have been classified metropolitan, these include the Sydney Stations located at Parramatta, Caringbah, Camden, Bankstown and St Ives, as well as Point Clare on the Central Coast, Hamilton and Rutherford in Newcastle and Wollongong on the Illawarra/South Coast. The rural stations are located at Tamworth, Singleton, Cowra, Bomaderry and Wagga Wagga.

The metropolitan stations are the ones affected by the Government’s decision to reduce the role of Ambulance Rescue in NSW. Wollongong was recently re-designated from ‘rural’ to ‘metropolitan’, presumably so that it too could be axed.
